Making the Most of Our Time in the Big Easy

With multi-colored Mardi Gras beads overlaying convention credentials, Bill and I recently joined hundreds of traffic safety officials and exhibitors in New Orleans for the American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) 46th Annual Convention and Traffic Expo.

Parade Floats

As Mardi Gras floats paraded outside the Convention Center, we made our way through the Expo – learning more about the traffic safety industry and meeting with the team representing our client, Lindsay Corporation.

The EG Integrated team designed the banners in the Lindsay booth, and we also developed and distributed media kits to support the launch of a new Lindsay Transportation Solutions product – a mobile app that improves efficiency for teams that install and inspect road safety devices.

ATTSA Scott

The only industry app of its kind, the LTS Road Safety app was featured as an entry in the ATSSA New Product Showcase. During his presentation to a standing room only crowd, Lindsay Vice President and General Manager Scott Marion explained how the app is a field-friendly partner to standard installation materials – just one of many ways Lindsay Transportation Solutions is transforming road safety.

Bourbon Street

After the presentation, we took a little time to enjoy some Cajun cuisine and soak up the sights and sounds of the celebrations that were taking place just steps away from the Convention Center. Embracing the chaos, we joined the thousands of raucous revelers who lined the parade routes and eventually made our way down Bourbon Street.

As I watched the party-goers clamor for beads and other trinkets, I couldn’t help thinking that Mardi Gras really is something that everyone should experience once in their lifetime… but I’m really glad that next year’s ATSSA Convention will be in Phoenix!
